A huge congratulations to Tori Diamond who has just been notified that she has been awarded the Australasian Epidemiological Association’s Student Conference Award for 2023. This award, worth $500, recognizes outstanding achievement and is presented to a deserving student member of the AEA who have submitted exceptional abstracts to the AEA Annual Scientific Meeting.
Tori’s presentation ‘Measuring indigenous outcomes and inequity – is a different approach to age-standardisation needed?’, is a subset of the work she did for her Honours dissertation: ‘Impact of the variability in NZ population estimates on health outcome metrics and sub-population comparisons’.
